First off.. JACK if you do not post on this blog Im going to be very upset.
Anyway this week is full of wreckage that is confirming my belief that I am cursed... let see here.
1). My Job: Since I am incapable of obtaining any job that is related to my background I took a job as a customer service rep for a Settlement Administrator. To sum things up I talk about mutual funds to angry and confused people who are old and/or have no idea about anything regarding to mutual funds.
Since this job requires a lot of talking..my livelihood is my voice. Well when you have a cold and you talk to at least 60 people per day losing your voice is an absolute possibility and of course it happened to me.
I wake up in the morning sore throat and a raspy barely audible voice. Maybe if I rest until I get to the office and try to project I can still do my job. I start driving to pick up Anya on the way to work. We start driving and she is telling me how there is no way I can talk on the phone. As I think of solutions all of a sudden my car decides to make loud concerning noises. GREATT... are we going to make it to work???
We do fortunately, but not without becoming partially deaf.
Anyway we walk into the the office and my manager has to find tasks for me to do since I can not talk on the phone. They have already had to pull a lot of strings for me and I can't even do the job I was intentionally hired to do. Lets hope I do not join that group of 20 people who have just been laid off...
2) Common-Sense Deficient Mother: My mother and I are in the process of moving. My mother is moving to Wareham while I am moving to Boston. Of course my mother falls down the stairs trying to move stuff in high heels and sprains her ankle.
So who gets to do all the moving you might ask.
ME!
I love lifting heavy furniture.duhhhhh
3) Car Troubles: In addition to having a cracked exhaust I got rear-ended this week.
I get home to spend the night and get up to do some grocery shopping. As I am driving there I notice a turtle trying to cross the street.
My first thought " Poor turtle, its going to get hit!"
So naturally I stop to try to help it cross the street and guess what happens. I get rear-ended. For trying to save a turtle.
Well it seems that every time turtles are involved something ridiculous happens. So next time I see a turtle. I will prepare myself.
